Connect Café is a Social Enterprise Program of FosterAdopt Connect located in the historic Kansas City Kansan newspaper building.

The café employs current or former foster youth and provides the opportunity to gain work experience, job skills and develop professionally in order to successfully navigate future employment and advancement opportunities.

Café crew members are paid to participate in part-time direct employment as well as an interactive education experience. Lasting around 9-12 months, the Connect Café program will include connections to post-program educational opportunities or employment assistance with food service and restaurants in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Proceeds from sales go towards supporting FosterAdopt Connect's commitment to serving youth in foster/adoptive care and the families who care for them in Missouri/Kansas.

With the help of innovative leadership, FosterAdopt Connect is a dedicated, professional staff with a history of over 20 years of experience working in the Kansas and Missouri foster care systems. We actively monitor the changing needs of children in foster and adoptive care within our communities and identify gaps in available services. To fill these gaps, we search nationally and internationally for best practices to implement, and if none are available, we create innovative solutions to improve outcomes for the children and families we serve.
